The last time I replaced my chain was in Uruguaiana, Brazil.

I’ve ridden about 17,000 km since then, and it’s finally time to say goodbye to my worn-out chain.

Google Maps shows several Taller locations, but I chose Motodom.

I don’t have a grinder, so I had the chain cut here.

I quickly replaced the rear wheel sprocket.

They replaced the front while I replaced the rear.

Both the drive sprocket and the driven sprocket were slightly worn.

I didn’t just replace the chain, I also bought a sprocket and replaced both at the same time, although it took a while.

It was a good decision.

Last time, I used DID O-rings, but this time I used X-rings.

I’m hoping they’ll last about 15,000km.

I also had the problematic clutch pedal welded back in.

I’m sure I could remove it with a grinder, but since I don’t often need to remove it, I’m happy with it.す

Apparently, this is a popular tourist destination.

This was the first time a Japanese person had been there, so I was given a hoodie.

I really need to advertise this properly.

During my test drive on the way home, the bike’s speed and drive were noticeably improved.

I was reminded once again how important a chain is.
