My motorcycle trip this time was from Cochrane, Chile, to Puerto Rio Tranquilo.

The distance was approximately 120km.

Before leaving, I checked the chain and rear sprocket and found that the chain had stretched a little again.

There was also a significant gap between the sprocket teeth, so it was nearing its limit.

By the way, I have driven about 3,500 km since I changed to Bridgestone tires, but there is still a lot of tread left in the tires.

I’ve been through some tough times, so this is excellent.

Made in Japan, as you’d expect.

I’m leaving Cochrane.

As soon as I set off, the road turned into a dirt road.

I move carefully through the dust

It started to rain a little on the way.

This helped to ease the dust a little.

I continue to endure the stress.

I have to be mindful of the road and the cars ahead while driving, so it’s a shame I can’t enjoy the beautiful scenery.

About an hour and a half after I set off, I finally arrived at a fork in the road.

If I go right here, I’ll reach Chile Chico.

This time, I’ll turn left.

The scenery around the lake is beautiful

I wish passing cars would be a little more considerate of me.

About two and a half hours after I left, the building finally came into view.

I’ve finally arrived at Puerto Rio Tranquilo.

I’m heading straight for Plaza de Armas.

I arrived at the Plaza de Armas

Most of my trip was on unpaved roads, but the short distances allowed me to relax while driving.

And the route wasn’t particularly difficult.

The scenery around Lake General Carrera is beautiful, as expected.

My motorcycle chain seems to be in good condition.

Date of ride: January 10, 2026
