Valdes Peninsula
My motorcycle trip this time was from Puerto Madryn in southern Argentina to Peninsula Valdes, covering a distance of approximately 245km.

I’m leaving Puerto Madryn

I soon arrived in the city, so I continued heading north.

After about 20 minutes, I arrived at the fork leading to Peninsula Valdes.
I turned right here.

I arrived at the gate to Peninsula Valdes.
Here, the average person pays $45,000, or about USD 31.
That’s a pretty steep price.

Then I’ll go on my way

I left Puerto Madryn and arrived in Puerto Pirámides, where you can see whales, in about an hour.

Although it was a little far away, I was able to see the whales with my own eyes.

Now that I’ve refueled, I’m finally heading to Punta Norte where I can see the killer whales.

I walked back a little and arrived at a fork in the road.
From here on, the road was completely unpaved.

I arrived at the management office shortly.
I said goodbye and left.

This is the first fork in the road.
I’ll turn left here.
I was told the road to the southern cape is currently closed.

Estoy conduciendo por una carretera llena de baches

About 45 minutes from the management office, I arrived at the next fork in the road.
If I turn right here, I’ll reach Caleta Valdez, where the penguins are.
I’ll go there later, so for now I’ll just keep going straight.

About 30 minutes later, I arrived in Punta Norte.

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to see any killer whales, but I was able to see some elephant seals.

Now, next I’m heading to Caleta Valdes.

In 30 minutes I arrived at a fork in the road.
I’ll turn left here.

About 40 minutes from the fork, I arrived at the penguin viewing spot.

There was a penguin there

They are sleeping comfortably

Next, I headed south to the elephant seal viewing spot.
I arrived in about five minutes.

Unfortunately, I didn’t see anything here, but if we’re lucky, we might even see killer whales.

My journey this time was a struggle with rough, unpaved roads.
I’ve driven through Bolivia’s national parks with a loaded motorcycle, so this was easy, but I’d rather drive a Jimny on roads like this.
