From Neuquén to Las Grutas, Argentina
My motorcycle trip this time is from Neuquén, Argentina, to Las Grutas.
The distance is approximately 430 km.
I replaced both my front and rear tires, so I’ll be keeping an eye on them for a while.

I’m leaving Neuquen in the morning.

I quickly crossed the bridge and entered Rio Negro province.

There’s a surprising amount of traffic here

I’ll arrive at Villa Regina in about an hour and fifteen minutes.
I’ll stop here to fill up on gas.

I’m driving on a road that’s not particularly different from other roads.

After about three hours, I arrived at Choele-choel, the halfway point.
I stopped here to refuel.

I’m back on the same old path again

About four hours after I set off, I left RN250 and entered RN2.
From here, I was heading south.

I passed through the dry Salina del Gualicho lake.

I joined RN251.
I’m almost to my destination.

I’ve arrived at the junction with San Antonio Oeste.
This time I’m heading to Las Grutas, so I’ll turn right here.

I left Neuquén and arrived in Las Grutas about 5 hours and 15 minutes later.
I continued on to the central area.

I arrived at the observation deck with the signboard on the west side of Centro.

The wind was blowing for most of my trip, so I couldn’t go very fast.
The wind gets even stronger south from here, so I’ll probably have to drive at a maximum speed of around 80 km/h.
The tires seem fine, so I’m relieved.
The next time I need to replace my rear tires will probably be around La Plata, Argentina.
