My motorcycle trip this time is from Oruro to La Paz in Bolivia
It’s about 235km.

I left Oruro

I passed Casco del Mineiro, north of the ring road, in about 15 minutes.
I’m heading north from here.

The road from Oruro to La Paz is relatively flat.

I was stopped by the police

Apparently I was going too fast.
In Bolivia, you can only go 80km on this road.
But he said you were going 〇km.
※This is a red ticket in Japan
Oh sorry…
I handed in all the documents and he sent me off, telling me to be careful.
I was grateful.
After that, I made a detour to Patacamaya to get gas.

However, the line of cars was quite long, so I decided to pass.
I filled up my car at a self-service gas station along the way.

I arrived in El Alto about 3 hours after leaving Oruro.
There are an incredible number of cars here.

El Alto is different from other cities.
There was an event going on that day, so I took a detour.

I drive on the highway that connects El Alto to La Paz
Of course, motorcycles are free
The views from here were magnificent

I left Oruro and arrived in the central area of La Paz about three and a half hours later.

My journey this time was flat and boring, but once I entered El Alto it was a thrilling journey.
The driving manners in Bolivia are not very good, and people often ignore traffic lights, so we need to proceed very carefully.
However, if I hesitate, the horn will be honked immediately, so it is a bit hard for foreigners to drive here.
I have some concerns about my motorcycle, so I will do some maintenance on it in La Paz before heading to the next town.
