From San José de Mayo to Canelones in Uruguay

My motorcycle trip this time is from San José de Mayo to Canelones in Uruguay.

It’s a journey of about 50km.

The weather isn’t great, but I’m leaving San José de Mayo.

This time, I’m simply going straight east along Route 11.

I will cross the San José River.

As was the case last time, Uruguay is surprisingly windy, so I proceed with caution.

I arrived at Peaje Santa Lucia, just before Santa Lucia.

Motorcycles are free, so I’ll take the rightmost lane.

I’ll be heading straight through the town of Santa Lucia, as I’ll soon be at the Departomento de Canelones.

I continue on, seeing similar scenery.

I entered Canelones.

I will head towards the Centro.

Canelones’ Centro area also doesn’t seem to be very developed.

I will arrive at Square in Centro on July 18th.

My trip this time was short, so I was able to drive at a relaxed pace.

Perhaps it’s seasonal, but unlike my previous visit in summer, winter is windy and often cloudy.

That, too, was part of the charm.
