From Bahia Blanca to Viedma in Argentina

My current motorcycle trip is from Bahia Blanca to Viedma in Argentina.

The distance is approximately 280 km.

There’s a possibility of strong winds in this area, so I always check the conditions beforehand.

I am leaving Bahia Blanca.

I will continue along the road for a while.

I participated in RN3.

This time, I’m just going down this path.

After about 35 minutes, I arrived at the junction with RN22.

If I continued straight from here, I would reach Neuquén, so this time I turned left and continued south on RN3.

About 45 minutes after I set off, the motorcycle suddenly started swaying from side to side, so I stopped to check it out.

I got a flat tire here.

That was probably the first time since I was in Porvenir, Chile, about six months ago.

The tube had two small tears.
I have a spare tube, so I’ll replace it here and repair this when I get to Viedma.

I proceed cautiously, checking to make sure the wheels aren’t scratched.

I’ll refuel at Pedro Luro on the way.

V-Power is AR$2.279/L, approximately USD 1.56

It seems there are no air leaks in the tires.

The further south I went, the stronger the wind became.

I need to be careful of crosswinds.

Once I cross the Negro River, I’ll be in Rio Negro Province, not Buenos Aires Province.

Almost there!

I’ll be heading towards the center as I’ll be entering the Centro soon.

And then I arrived at St. Martin Square.

My journey this time was on a single road, so I didn’t get lost, but the wind was strong along the way, which reminded me of Patagonia.
And the flat tire along the way was unexpected for me.

After I fixed the flat, I was able to ride about 200km, and there has been no further air leak since, so it seems the tire rim is undamaged.

Argentina is expensive, so I hope that nothing goes wrong with my motorcycle until I arrive in Brazil…
