From Esquel, Argentina to San Carlos de Bariloche
My motorcycle trip this time took me from Esquel in southern Argentina to San Carlos de Bariloche.
The distance was approximately 290 km.

I’m leaving Esquel.

A little while after I left town, there was nothing left.

And here lies a vast wilderness.

The road conditions deteriorated about 65km from Esquel.
The road is generally repaired, but I had to be careful when driving through it.
There were strong Patagonian winds in this area, so my speed slowed down considerably when heading west.

And then I enter a mountain path.

I’ll refuel at El Hoyo along the way.
Infinia premium gasoline is AR$1.799/L, approx. USD 1.29.
In Chaitén, Chile, it was CLP 1.465/L, approx. USD 1.60, so Argentina is definitely cheaper.

Shortly after I left El Hoyo, I entered the Rio Negro province from Chubut province.

I left Esquel and arrived in El Bolsón in about two hours.

The town seems to be developing to a reasonable extent.

After I left the town, the road continued through the mountains.

No matter how far I go, the scenery doesn’t change much.

And then I finally entered the city of Bariloche.
This area seems a bit run-down.

Finally, the scenery looks like a proper city.

The central area of the city has an incredible number of steep hills.

And then I arrived at Cathedral Square.

My trip this time started with a wilderness after I left Esquel, and then I enjoyed the changing scenery along mountain roads.
The Patagonian winds were blowing in this area as well, so I need to check the news for strong winds.
The city of Bariloche is crowded and has many hills, so I need to be especially careful.
