This was very helpful to me because foreigners cannot buy gasoline in auxiliary tanks in Bolivia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And there is a chronic gasoline shortage throughout Bolivia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gasoline prices in Bolivia are domestic and international, and foreigners pay about Bs.8.6 per liter, about 1.25 USD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is cheap when Bolivians buy it, but the reason it is cheap is because they subsidize it with taxes, not because they are charging foreigners an unfairly high price.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bolivia buys gasoline from other countries, so the international price is the regular price.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This is a misconception among many foreigners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Also, if we buy gasoline legally, we have to wait in line for several hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Considering that I will have to wait in line for several hours, Bs.10 per liter is cheap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Now, I am ready to head to the next city, Oruro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
