FI lamp abnormality"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>I thought that in Buenos Aires, the problem of the FI light being on could be solved, so I asked my friend to introduce me to a repair shop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First, I tried to diagnose the symptoms myself before taking it there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When I checked the HONDA manual, it only said, &#8220;The FI light being on is<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The current problem is that the FI lamp is always on and the idle speed is always high.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video height=\"1080\" Sensor map (purple)\u2026 Engine control<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I think one or more of these are broken<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So I think it would be a good idea to try replacing them one by one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>To the repair shop<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Well, I took my motorcycle to the repair shop that he introduced me to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before I went, I explained the current situation to him, but he said, &#8220;I think something else is broken. I have a lot of work right now, so I need a week.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The mechanic didn&#8217;t tell me the price, so I said, &#8220;I just want a quote first. After that, I&#8217;ll think about whether I want to arrange the parts I need myself or have them arrange them for me.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Not only in South America, but outside of Japan, you may be asked to pay an exorbitant price later, so be sure to leave a message or recording beforehand to leave the price.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The mechanic told me that it would cost AR50,000, or about 51 USD, to check for errors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I was also told that this fee would be free if I had it repaired here, so I gave him the OK and waited for him to contact me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Diagnosis results<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After a week had passed and I hadn&#8217;t heard anything back, I contacted him the next day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then he replied, &#8220;I&#8217;ve completed the diagnosis. (But you said it wasn&#8217;t).&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then the mechanic continued to tell me, <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&#8220;This can&#8217;t be fixed here.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I thought, &#8220;What?&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I asked him why, and he said, &#8220;The parts are expensive, so we can&#8217;t get them here.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I said, &#8220;Yeah, I know that, but I can just buy a compatible one, right? I can just buy it myself?&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then he said, &#8220;You can&#8217;t do that.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I thought, &#8220;What?&#8221; again<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Mechanic who can&#8217;t repair<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He told me that if I were to do repairs here, the following conditions would be necessary:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u3007You will only use genuine parts<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u3007I will not repair vehicles that have been modified in any way<br>\u203bMy motorcycle has fog lights and a smartphone holder with wireless charging<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u3007I will not repair old motorcycles<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is not an official HONDA repair shop<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under his conditions, anyone who can assemble a plastic model while looking at the instructions can repair it<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If he cannot do this, he cannot be called a mechanic<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anyone who sees my motorcycle can see that it has been modified and that it is old by its age<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But the fact that he has already taken on this repair once means that it is not a problem<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His conditions are completely after the fact<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In other words, he is not confident that he can fix my motorcycle (he does not say that he cannot do it himself)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And of course, he will charge me for the diagnosis<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>I give up<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Not only Argentina, but South America in general is like a regional city in Japan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In other words, human connections are very important, so everyone needs to behave selfishly, but also make an effort not to be left out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since this repair shop was introduced to me by my friend who lives here, I thought that if I caused a problem, it would affect my friend&#8217;s future position, so I decided to back out, even though I don&#8217;t agree with it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;m planning to go to Brazil via Uruguay after this, so I&#8217;ll make an inquiry to a repair shop in Brazil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Continued<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I thought that in Buenos Aires, the problem of the FI light being on could be solved, so I asked my friend to introduce me to a repair shop.
