A motorcycle journey from Puerto San Julián to Río Gallegos in Argentina
My motorcycle trip this time was from Puerto San Julián to Río Gallegos in Argentina.
The distance is approximately 360 km.

The next day after the two-day storm, I was able to depart quietly.
I depart from Puerto San Julián.

Entraré en RN3 en unos cinco minutos.

There are more plants here than I expected.

About an hour and a half after I set off, I could see the Comandante Luis Piedrabuena.

I was freezing, so I’ll grab a coffee and take a break while I’m refueling.
YPF Infinia is AR$1.633/L, USD 1.15

I took a break for about 30 minutes and set off again.

The temperature remains low today due to the overcast skies.
The wind isn’t strong, but it’s constantly blowing against us.

This road has many hills, so the wind is blocked, which helps me.
I need to be careful not to run over the llamas.

A sharp curve
Just a little further to my destination

Police checks are conducted here.

There are streetlights along the roads around here.
That alone makes me feel like I’m in a city.

Then I drove on for a while and arrived at Río Gajegos.
I’ll continue on toward Costanera.

Then I departed from Puerto San Julián and arrived at Plaza de la República in about five hours.

Despite facing headwinds, my journey proceeded relatively smoothly as they didn’t cause significant disruption.
However, temperatures remain low even in late November, so I must ensure I’m properly bundled up.
Next, I will finally enter Fuego Island.
