This time, my motorcycle trip is from Chivay, Peru to Arequipa, the largest city in southern Peru,
The distance is about 170 km.

I’m leaving Chivay

I’m going to climb the mountain

I arrived at the observation deck in about 35 minutes.
I’m going to take a little detour.

It was a little different from what I had imagined, so I cut it short and headed to Arequipa.

After about an hour and a half, I arrived at the stop I passed on my way to Chibai.
This time, I’m going to continue west and then head south.

I go through a place where there are a lot of Llamas

And here we are on a mountain road again.
There are a lot of trucks on this road and it gets quite congested.

I arrived in Yura, which is part of the province of Arequipa, in about two and a half hours.

Is Yura currently under development?
This place looks similar to the north of Antofagasta, Chile

I drove for about 15 minutes and arrived at Cerro Colorado, where the airport is located.
There is La Parada Market here, which is very busy.

I left Chivay and arrived in Yanahuara in just over three hours.

If I cross the river, I will soon be at the historic center, Centro Histórico, but I will be staying in Yanahuara, so that’s the end of my motorcycle trip.
I had time on this trip, so I drove slowly, but there are many mountain roads here, so I was able to enjoy driving and the scenery.
This is one of the most recommended roads I have ever driven.
