This motorcycle trip is from Chivay, Peru to the Condor Observatory
This distance is about 42km.
I heard that condors take off at 8am in the winter, so I leave Chivay town at around 7am.
The mountains shine golden in the morning sun
Basically, this road is a mountain path all the way, so the scenery is great.
There are other cities to see, but I’ll skip them this time.
In about 25 minutes, I arrive at Maca, the intermediate stop.
This time, I’ll skip this stop too.
The tunnel beyond Maca has no electricity.
If my motorcycle didn’t have fog lights I’d be out of luck

From there the road conditions get worse
I arrived at my destination before 8 o’clock.
The reason I made a detour to Chivay was to see the condors, so I’m satisfied.
I’ll return the same way.
By the way, on the way, please note that we need to hand over the S/.70 ticket and yellow paper that we paid when we arrived in the city of Chivay to the attendant.
If we don’t have it, we will have to pay S/.70 again.
