My motorcycle trip this time is from Asuncion, Paraguay to Saenz Peña, Argentina
It’s about 482km.

I will travel by boat from Paraguay to Argentina.

I’m leaving Asuncion

I’m heading south and passing through Lambaré
It’s pretty crowded in front of Lambaré city hall.

I’ll arrive at the port in about 15 minutes.

I will be going through Paraguay’s immigration procedures here.
I will enter the building on the left as soon as I enter the site.

This is where my departure and customs formalities are complete.
I’ll just wait for the ship.

The boat comes every 30 minutes.
I’ll get on.

When I noticed, they had already departed.

There are many large vehicles on the ship.

I pay here
The motorbike costs Gs.25,000, about 3.12 USD

It takes about 30 minutes to reach the Argentine side.

I’m going to go ahead and go to customs.

I showed my Paraguayan cedula, passport, motorcycle owner’s card, cedula verde and insurance card, as usual
Then I answered the question “Where are you going?”, as usual, and that was it
That’s easy
Okay, I’m off

The road conditions are not so good here, probably because a lot of large vehicles pass through.

I want to try a new route, so instead of heading for Formosa, I head north to Clorinda.

This is my first time heading north.
I’ve been in the opposite direction three times, including by bus, but the roads are still bumpy.
I’m going down a peaceful road.

There were a lot of motorbikes on Route 86.
Compared to other roads, there were a lot more. I wonder why?
I fill up at the gas station near El Espinillo.

Two dogs gave me a warm welcome.
This place only accepts cash.
I headed south on Route 3.
The road conditions here are pretty bad.

The hole above is quite small.
I refueled for the second time in Villa dos Torres.

At this point, about four hours have passed.
I cross the bridge and enter Chaco Province.

The roads in Chaco are pretty good.
Is this due to differences in state funding?

Now that I’ve reached Route 16, I’m in for a final sprint.

Argentinians often drive recklessly.

I arrived in Saenz-Peña about six hours after leaving.

I have arrived at my destination, Plaza San Martin.

There were no people on the main streets during the siesta.
This time I entered Argentina by a different route than usual, but compared to the road from Colonia Cano onwards, I found it much more difficult to drive, so I don’t recommend it.
To head towards Clorinda from Asuncion, I felt it would be better to simply cross the Chaco Heroes Bridge.
