This time I will leave Uruguay at Artigas and enter Quarai, Brazil.
This is the red part on the map.

The Quarai River runs between the two countries, and we cross the border on a bridge.
If we are only traveling between these two cities, we do not need to have our passports checked.

Well, here is the border procedure
1.Moving from Uruguay to Brazil
First, I cross the bridge from Artigas.

This is the entrance to the bridge.
I’m going to cross the bridge.
We can walk across here in about 10 minutes.

When I cross the bridge, I see a building on the right.
This is the border control office shared with Uygur.

2.Uruguay’s immigration procedures
I’m going inside the building
Please note that I cannot take photos of the inside due to security reasons.

Here, we enter the building, and the right side is the Uruguay side, and the left side is the Brazil side.
First, I go to the counter at the back on the right side to complete the Uruguay departure procedures.
I tell the person in charge that I am leaving Uruguay with my motorcycle.
This goes smoothly.
I do not need to go through customs.
3.Brazilian entry procedures
Next is the Brazilian entry procedures.
I go through the counter on the left just after entering the entrance and tell them that I am entering Brazil.
This also goes smoothly.
I do not receive any documents related to my vehicle here.
Customs is in a different place, so this is the end of my procedures here.
4.Go to Brazilian customs.
I leave the building and move a little with my vehicle.

In this building, I tell them I’m bringing a vehicle to Brazil
I hand over my ID and Cedula Verde and have the paperwork prepared
The person in charge actually looks at the vehicle and takes a photo of it, including the license plate.

At this time, I was asked how much the vehicle was worth in USD and which border crossing I would ultimately leave Brazil through.
I didn’t have time to wait, but it took about 20 minutes to complete the paperwork.
The person in charge was very friendly.
Why is no one coming to customs when there are so many other vehicles coming and going…?
I was told not to lose this paper! After this, another PDF arrived at the email address I had provided.

Just to be on the safe side, I printed this out as well, but I didn’t need it when I left Brazil.
Traveling between Brazil and Argentina was pretty smooth, as both are Mercosur countries.
