This time I will cross the Paraguay River from Pilar in Paraguay and enter Argentina.
It’s from red to yellow on the map.
I came to Pilar to experience this.

First of all, if the water level of the Paraguay River is low, boats may not operate, so it is important for us to check the Pilar news.
Now, the procedure is as follows.
1.Paraguay departure procedure
First, I will leave Paraguay.

I get my passport stamped at the window on the right and tell them I’m taking the motorcycle out of Paraguay
At this point I receive my boarding pass and motorcycle boarding pass
A human costs Gs. 50,000, or about 6.6 USD, and one motorcycle costs Gs. 7,000, or about 0.9 USD.

2.Paraguay Customs
I go to the counter next to the previous one, tell the clerk that I’m taking my motorcycle with me, and hand over the usual motorcycle paperwork and boarding pass to the clerk.

Here, the attendant was writing down a list of the vehicles to be transported on the ship.
This process went pretty smoothly.
3.Wait for the ship
We lined up and waited for the ferry to arrive.

4.Boarding the ferry
When the ferry arrives, we board in order.

5.Departure
The ship will depart at the specified time.

6.Crossing the river
We just wait for the boat to move on

The boat arrives at Colonia Cano in about 10 minutes.

7.Argentina immigration & customs
As soon as we landed, we went through immigration and customs in the building on the right.

When I went through immigration, I was asked, as always, “Where are you going?”
Argentina is paperless, so they didn’t stamp my passport
8.Vehicle check
After I completed my immigration procedures, the officer in front checked my motorcycle and documents
Here, I showed my Cedula and Cedula Verde as usual
This completed the procedures for leaving Paraguay and entering Argentina
It was about 40km from Colonia Cano to the nearest town, General Mansilla, so I went ahead.
