My journey, which took about half a year, is finally coming to an end.
This time, I’m heading from the border with Bolivia to Philadelphia, the capital of Boquerón Department in Paraguay.
This is the route of about 330 km from red to yellow on the map.

First, I fill up at the gas station just outside the border.

Regular gasoline is quite expensive here at Gs.8800 per liter, about 1.16 USD, but I have no other choice
I’m heading towards the Ruta Transchaco

After about 100km, I finally arrived at the checkpoint.
I turn right here.

I fill up at the gas station just after I enter the Transchaco.

Regular gasoline here is Gs.8500 per liter, about 1.12 USD
A little cheaper than before
I was heading for Mariscal José Felix Estigarribia, a town about 120km away from here, but I started to hear a strange noise from my motorcycle
I thought there was something wrong
But there was nothing I could do about it here
I was driving carefully, but when I was 30km away from Mariscal José Felix Estigarribia, a problem occurred with my motorcycle
The chain came off
And there was no Internet signal here
I had to fix it myself, so I worked hard under the scorching sun
*I found the sound of the engine idling at around 01:58:40 in the video

I managed to get the chains in place, so I continued slowly and about 120km later, I arrived in Philadelphia.

Gasoline prices here are Gs.7250 per liter, about 0.95 USD
It’s a little more expensive than Asuncion, but it’s acceptable
Also, the side roads on the way to Philadelphia are still unpaved, so we’ll have to take a detour, but it’s safer to take the national highway.

This time it was a long distance, but it was a straight line, so I got there in a short time, even though it was boring.
However, it was very hot in the Chaco region in November, so it was very hard for me.

I’ll be here for a few days and then head back to Asuncion
Date of ride: November 8, 2024
This time’s harvest
I’ll try to stay hydrated
