I’m heading from Cordoba, the second most populous city in Argentina, to La Rioja, the capital of the province of La Rioja.
It’s a city that ranges from red to yellow on the map.

I heard that there was a salt flat in Cordoba on the way to La Rioja, so I decided to stop at José de las Salinas (the purple place on the map), about 180 km from Cordoba.
After leaving the city of Cordoba, I continue on a straight road as usual.

There was nothing particularly interesting on the route, and I arrived at Jose de las Salinas in about two and a half hours.

I left my luggage at the hotel and headed for the Salinas Grandes, the salt lakes of Cordoba.
It’s about 20km away, so I’ll get there in about 15 minutes.

The ground is hard salt
There is a sound every time you walk
It’s too cold here, so I bought motorcycle handlebar gloves and a rear case to carry luggage in Cordoba
Handlebar cover is 45,000 pesos, about 43 USD
Support bracket for rear carrier is 47,000 pesos, about 45 USD
45L rear carrier is 56,000 pesos, about 54 USD
I will head to La Rioja the next day
Date of ride: July 12, 2024
Harvest this time
Acceleration and speed are completely different with and without luggage on the motorcycle
