Now that my plans for May to November 2024 have been decided, I will be heading from Asuncion, Paraguay to Santa Fe, Argentina
I will choose a nice day and go to Resistencia, Argentina first
Since I need to cross the border to get here, I first chose a city about 330km away
Approximately 150km to Formosa, including the border crossing
Then approximately 180km to Resistencia
I first left Asuncion and headed for Jose Falcón, a city on the border with Argentina.
I crossed the recently completed Puente Héroes del Chaco in the center.

There is a toll booth just after crossing the bridge, but it is free for motorbikes.
Thank goodness

The scenery here is not particularly good, so I head to Jose Falcon.
While I was heading there, a sudden accident occurred.
The rear wheel of my motorcycle suddenly skidded, so I sensed something was wrong and stopped.
When I checked the rear wheel, there was an air leak.

There was a nail in the tire

When I looked back at the video, there was a nail in it.

I was planning to buy a flat tire repair tool and a tire tube in Argentina because they were expensive in Paraguay.
It was still about 10km to Jose Falcón, so I asked someone nearby if there was a Gomeria (tire shop).
I was told there was one in San Ramon, about 5km away, so I drove slowly.

The puncture caused a loss of air pressure, cracking the base of the tube.

I replaced the whole tube
I later realized that one of the spokes was missing
It seems that I lost it here after all
The repair fee was Gs.45,000, about 5.7 US dollars
I lost about 30 minutes and arrived at the border

Exiting Paraguay and going through customs to take the motorcycle out,
entering Argentina and going through customs are done on the Argentine side after crossing the bridge.

The procedure itself is simple.
To leave Paraguay,
I present my passport,
the Cedula, which is a Paraguayan ID card,
the Cedula Verde for my vehicle,
At customs, I also presented the Cedula and the Cedula Verde.

Cedula Verde, with owner information
I first went through immigration on the Argentine side
presented the same documents as on the Paraguayan side
I was asked where do you going, and replied Santa Fe
There was no vehicle check on the Argentine side
There was no baggage check either
Finally, there was a document check by an Argentine customs official
Here I presented my motorcycle insurance valid in Mercosur, Chile, and Peru

I have Moto Max2 insurance from Sancor Seguros
Gs.498,000 per year, about 63 US dollars
That’s enough
In Argentina, passports are all electronic, so I didn’t get an entry stamp in my passport or a document to bring in a vehicle
There was no one there, but I was able to complete the procedure in about 5 minutes
I set off for Formosa
After that, I arrived in Formosa without any accidents.

Next, I head to Resistencia.

I head south on a road with nothing in particular.

It’s been about 2 hours and 10 minutes since I left Formosa
It took me about 5 and a half hours to arrive at Resistencia from Asuncion
The next day I will head south for about 400km, heading for San Javier
Date of ride: Thursday, May 30, 2024
This time’s harvest
The border procedures at AR Clorinda – PY Jose Falcón are pretty easy
And I always need to have a puncture repair kit
